VolleyBall Court Size: Volleyball is a game that is quite popular all around the globe. It is team sport game that has six players to each of the sides and the court is separated by a net. Each team has to score points by grounding the ball on the court side of the other team. Volleyball has been a part of the official program of the summer Olympic game since the year 1964. The origin of volleyball can be traced back to 9th February, 1895 in Holyoke, Massachusetts where William G. Morgan created this historic sport which was initially called Mintonette.
All the rules encircling the game are extensive but the play simply proceeds somehow like this: A player from one of the teams begins a rally by serving the ball from behind the back boundary line, over the net to the receiving team. The team on the other side must not let the ball to get grounded within their court area. The team receiving it is allowed to touch the ball three times to send it back again to the serving team court area but none of players can touch it two times. The rally continues until the ball gets grounded on any one of the court sides or falls outside the court area. The team winning the rally gets to serve the ball for the next rally and is awarded a point.
Some of the few faults associated are touching of the ball into the ground or floor outside the area of the opponent, catching and then throwing the ball, a double hit from the same player, hitting the ball for four times consecutively from the same team members, fault of net or touching on hands into the net while game play or the foot fault which is the crossover of foot while serving the ball.
